The wine-making team at Prisoner Wine Co. work with a family of growers to source diverse grape varieties from some of the best vineyards in California. Inspired by "mixed blacks", which were first made by the Italian immigrants who settled in the Napa Valley area, The Prisoner is now one of the most recognized Napa Valley red blends. The Prisoner is a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Charbono. Winery notes: "Features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish."
