The colour of the 2018 Jack Harrison is the first indication of something special… inky black depths with bright purple edges. The nose is a concentrated combination of darker cherry fruit, French oak spice and the characteristic cassis/star anise top notes. The palate is a massive mouthful of chewy black juicy fruit, wrapped around a weighty oak core, with an extended length that promises to develop into something of significant power and elegance. Impressive! ~Jane Ferrari~
Early estimates suggest this wine will still reward up until 2033 but with gentle decanting, it is beautifully approachable right now.
Vintage: 2018
Region: Eden Valley – Estate Single Vineyard
Winemaker: Joanne Irvine
Alcohol/Vol: 15.0%
Cellaring/Ageing potential: Early estimates suggest this wine will still reward up until 2033 but with gentle decanting, it is also beautifully approachable right now.
Ideal serving temperature: 17 – 19ºc and decanting or aerating prior to serving will allow this Eden Valley fruit to really open up and sing.
