Description
Vieux Lazaret
The Quiot family, winemakers since 1748, offer a large range of wines from the Rhone Valley and the Provence area. As a family, Genevieve, Florence, Jerome and Jean-Baptiste Quiot run Domaine du Vieux Lazaret.
Located in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and close to other properties owned by the Quiot family, these original buildings have today been extended and modernised, and now form the winemaking centre for Famille Quiot.
The vineyards of Domaine du Vieux Lazaret are spread over 93 hectares, split into 35 different parcels of vines throughout A.O.C. Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It is today amongst the largest domaines in Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
This wine is an intense and powerful Chateauneuf with mediterranean spicy notes and opulent softness, which can be enjoyed immediately after bottling. Nevertheless, it has an ageing potential for several years in the bottle.
Grape 60% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 7% Cinsault and other permitted varieties
