Un-malted barley imparts a silky mouthfeel when combined with Barra Oats creates an intriguing creaminess & spiciness to the finish that truly sets this Irish whiskey apart. Aged in Sherry Oloroso & Kentucky Bourbon casks. This single Batch ‘Single Pot Still’ Irish Whiskey is exceptionally smooth, creamy, spicy & a true delight for the senses.
Toasted cereals and dried fruits, mixed in with a few fresh strawberries. Full aroma, in no way reserved. Hazelnut and almond slivers, vanilla, toffee, sugar beet syrup. Right from the start, subliminal spices that become increasingly intense and combine with the grain note (the oats?).
Creamy and very spicy start. Dry from the start. Dark chocolate, toffee, vanilla, cereals, malt. In addition to nutmeg, cloves, rosemary and tarragon, a not to be neglected pinch of pepper. Dried fruit.
Medium, dry finish. Clear spice, but still resonating fruit sweetness. Vanilla, forest honey, milk coffee.”
