What The Critics Say
96/100 and “Outstanding” from Cameron Douglas MS
“A Cabernet, Merlot and Cabernet Franc led blend with the Franc component speaking first with scents of kalamata olive and fresh thyme, then the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot chime in with ripe and concentrated aromas of black berry and roasted plums, clove and dark cherry. On the palate a dry wine with a core of fruit concentration and fine tannin framing the structure. Acidity layers in the freshness carrying the dark fruit flavours and setting in place the dark spices and wood smoke complexities. Delicious, dry and lengthy. A young wine needing time to develop and harmonise with best drinking from 2028 through 2045+.” Drink 2028 – 2045+
95/100 Bob Campbell MW
“A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc from the Gimblett Gravels sub-region. Dense, almost chewy wine with chocolate/mocha, cedar, charcuterie and leather flavours. Bordeaux-like red with cellaring potential.” Drink 2023 – 2040
