Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre
Full bodied but still light on its feet, with plenty of ripe black and red berry action, spiced up with flickers of pepper and saffron. Deliciously sweet fruit all the way through before the lingering, smoky close. Terrific effort!
GSM is a term used to easily describe a southern Rhone-style blend. The three main varietals produced are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre They are blended to produce a wine that has balance and maximizes the best qualities of each grape. Grenache boasts a plushness and some spice, while Rhone grown Syrah can be meaty and rich with black pepper. Mourvèdre provides more earth with tonnes of tannin and colour.
