Description
FINO Tequila Anejo by Yuvaraj Singh
Tasting Notes
The Añejo is the most complex expression in the FINO lineup, characterized by its deep amber color and “triumphant legacy” profile.
-
Aroma: Rich and layered, featuring deep notes of caramelized agave and oak.
-
Palate: A luxurious fusion of luscious vanilla, sweet melon, and a distinct, sophisticated hint of subtle tobacco.
-
Finish: Known for being the sweetest and smoothest in the collection, it offers a long, velvety finish with absolutely no “burn.”
Production & Craftsmanship
The Añejo is defined by its extensive aging process and commitment to purity.
-
Agave: 100% Blue Weber Agave, estate-grown in the mineral-rich red soil of the Jalisco Highlands (Los Altos), which imparts a natural sweetness to the base spirit.
-
Process: The agave is traditionally slow-roasted and double-distilled to remove impurities while retaining the plant’s floral character.
-
Aging: While industry standards require Añejo to be aged for 1 year, FINO Añejo is aged for 30+ months in American Oak barrels.
-
Barrel Care: The insides of the barrels are charred to enhance flavor extraction; each barrel is used only three times to ensure the highest quality of oak influence before being retired.
-
Additive-Free: It is strictly additive-free, containing no caramel coloring, glycerin, or artificial sweeteners. The rich color and sweet notes are derived entirely from the interaction between the spirit and the charred oak over nearly three years.
