Grapes grown by Andrew Colman at the beautiful certified organic Osawa vineyard, Mangatahi subregion Te Matau a Māui- Hawke’s Bay.

Blend: Chardonnay 100%

Musqué: a french term applied to grapes for making wine meaning perfumed and Muscat-like, indicates a clone or variety is highly aromatic. 

We have been experimenting with the 809 Chardonnay cone for a few years now for Halcyon as a skin fermented white and this year it showed elevated muscat character which we love. So instead of blending it into Heliacal Rise we decide to bottle it on its own to share this expression of Chardonnay with you.
