Ledaig is the heavily peated whisky produced at Tobermory distillery. Ledaig is produced for 6 months of the year with Tobermory being produced for the other 6. The malted barley used to produce Ledaig has a phenolic level of ~40ppm.
Uniquely smoky aromas of burnt tires, rubber gumboots and pungent peat. The medicinal flavours are balanced with sweet barley, a hint of vanilla and liquorice. A distinct & popular smokey whisky.
