Description
The name says it all – Nine Barrels were selected as the best from the Parkburn Vineyard site in 2021.
Vineyard: Rockburn’s Parkburn Vineyard, Pisa, Cromwell basin.
Vinification: 7 tonne fermenter, 8 days cold maceration, fermentation over 1 week with daily plunging. Post fermentation maceration for 10 days. Barrel aging 14 months in French Oak, 22% new.
Appearance: Dark and moody
Bouquet: Notes of black cherry, thyme and ripe plum.
Palate: Plush tannins and a fine balance of ripe fruit, natural acidity and mineral tension. This wine truly represnts the Pias sub-region and its complex nature. Vegan friendly.
Cellaring: 10 years+
