Tasting Notes
The Heretaunga Cabernet Franc is from our warm, stony Omahu Vineyard near Gimblett Road and the red metal soils of the Fratelli Vineyard in Bridge Pa. Dark raspberry-coloured grapes were hand-harvested, traditionally fermented then aged in a combination of seasoned French oak and tank. Wonderfully fragrant red flower and sweet herb notes sit alongside dark berry, vanilla, cocoa and graphite, finishing long and invigorating.
