Greeted by an alluring depth of colour, with notes of chocolate dustings and summer black cherry gateau. The palate is plush, rich and savoury with hints of black and red liquorice. Brooding red stone fruits with bursts of dark berry & earthen roots. Superbly structured & seamless, a wine with power, depth and a promise to develop magnificently.
A blend of merlot 59% , malbec 25% and petit verdot 16% . Intense wine with ripe cherry/berry/ blackberry, chocolate/mocha, liquorice and spice flavours. Impressive wine that, like many great reds, clearly has ageing potential but can certainly be appreciated right now. Rippling with energy.
This Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot blend showcases aromas of baked plum and dark berry flesh, moments of chocolate and anise, smoky wood and black currant with a new wood and earthy dry clay quality. Firm textures touch the palate first – tannins and acidity along with wood highlights set the foundation then
a concentrated core of dark berry fruit flavours, dark spices with aise nd clove then vanilla and violets. A new leather notes adds further complexity and depth. Great drinking from 2024 through 2034+.
