Tawhiti Awatea Chardonnay Pet Nat

Description

All grapes for this wine were sourced from the BioGro-certified Osawa Vineyard in the Mangatahi subregion of Te Matau a Maui Hawkes Bay, with acknowledgment of the whenua as Maori and recognition of theinterconnectedness between people and land as integral to Maori Whakapono (belief). Blessing the whenua with karakia and aroha to start, these precious gifts were whole-bunch pressed to the stainless steel tank to undertake a natural in-tank ferment, before being hand-bottled at 16g/L. Alcoholic fermentation was finished in-bottle to create a naturally sparkling wine with no additions.
