Teeling Master Distiller Alex Chasko is renowned for his innovative cask selection when it comes to Irish Whiskey, creating expressions of true character. This collaboration with Akarua Winery who are located in renowned Central Otago Wine Region in New Zealand South Island.
The barrels previously contained there award winning Pinot Noir Red Wine.
Teeling Single Malt was initially aged in ex-bourbon cask for 16 years before being finished further 12 months in Akarua's Red Wine barrel.
Limited to just 316 bottles, non chill filtered and bottles at 57.2% abv
This is truly an Irish Whiskey to Savour.

On the nose, Creme Brulee and malt gives way to vibrant notes of grapefruit peel.
The vibrant citrus carries through from the nose to the palate, and it accompanied by more orchard fruits, melon and a subtle hint of black pepper spice.
More pronounced dried fruits & hints of wood tannins on the finish. A certain citrus freshness remains.
