This Yamazaki Mizunara Single Malt consists of carefully selected malt whiskeys, all of which have been aged exclusively in Mizunara casks for a minimum of 18 years . It was created to honor the centenary of the House of Suntory. At the first tasting, it was noted that the young liquid in the Mizunara cask had a dominant flavor and aroma. While aging through the four distinctive seasons of Japan and the land of Yamazaki, the determined blenders of the past found a balance between aging and harmonious blending that harnessed the power of Mizunara-Character tempered. The whiskeys are now matured until they can acquire the characteristic Japanese spiciness and the incense-like aroma of sandalwood and agarwood .
