WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES: Deeply coloured with a youthful garnet robe, the 2024 Destinae opens with an expressive bouquet of dark cherries, blueberry and black forest fruits. With time in the glass, floral notes of violet and rosehip lift the fruit while clove, cinnamon and subtle warm spice add aromatic complexity.
On the first taste the wine is rich and generous, with smashed berries carried by well-integrated notes of vanilla and caramel. Beneath the fruit there is a savoury quality of botanicals that adds depth without overwhelming the wine’s natural elegance. The palate is focused with good mid-palate weight and carries a long finish with a hint of cedar. Enjoyable upon release, its depth should emerge in the 4-8 year window and develop for a decade and beyond.
ENJOY FROM: 2-12+ years from vintage
