New to the fold is the Amoise Gamay Noir. From two different clones of Gamay this year from the exceptional Two Terraces vineyard in the Mangatahi Terraces. Ian & Linda Quinn are conscientious and detail oriented growers, and the quality of their grapes are exceptional. Drawing inspiration from Amy’s time working in Beaujolais, she’s made this as a blend as the clones were picked almost 2 weeks apart. The first component is 100% carbonic maceration for 2 weeks and blended with a semi-carbonic portion. The final wine is light and soft on the palate. Definitely one to be served lightly chilled!
