Rich aromas of ripe pear, grilled pineapple and toasted coconut rise from the glass with subtle notes of warm brioche and a delicate thread of lemon curd, adding lift. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky, with a creamy mouthfeel from the sur lie aging, balanced by a bright backbone of acidity. Notes of butterscotch and spice carry through to a long, satisfying finish that lingers with warmth and structure.
The Bogle family currently farms 1600 acres, with 1200 acres in Clarksburg and 400 in the Lodi appellation. Hand crafting wine is something Bogle winemakers have done for nearly 40 years now with passion for both the art and science of making wine. The Bogle Reserve is 100% barrel fermented in small, new American oak barrels for 15 months, 100% malolactic fermentation and monthly hand stirring of the lees.
