Description
Cairanne, Southern Rhône, France
(Cru status since 2016 – one of the prestigious designations in the Côtes du Rhône hierarchy)
Appearance:
Deep ruby with purple hues – youthful and vibrant in color.
Nose:
Aromas of black cherry, raspberry compote, garrigue herbs (thyme, rosemary), subtle violet, and a touch of white pepper and licorice.
Palate:
Medium to full-bodied with ripe red and black fruits (cherry, plum), soft tannins, and well-integrated spice. Expected to show freshness due to a relatively balanced growing season across the Rhône. Hints of leather and earthy minerality might emerge with a bit of bottle age.
Finish:
Smooth and lingering, with a slightly savory herbal note.
