Description

Chateau Enclos Haut Mazeyres is a 9.5ha estate located in the Pomerol appellation. This property has been handed down generation to generation of the women of de Pedro since 1830. The current generation of Mariane de Pedro and Yoann Gregory continue to produce wines with the expertise and savoir-faire acquired from nearly 2 centuries of tradition.
The vines thrive on the gentle sunny slopes of the gravel terraces, where they are mixed with moistening clays and the famous “crasse de fer” which Pomerol is known for.
Château Enclos Haut Mazeyres is the first wine of the estate. An elegant, lightly woody, fruity wine worthy of the best Pomerol.

Grapes: 80% Merlot 15% Cabernet franc 5% Malbec, 40 to 50 years old vines

Terroir: Gravel terraces mixed with clays and crasse de fer.

Winemaking: Manuel harvest. Fermentation in thermoregulated concrete vat. Aged in oak between 18 to 24 month.
