The 4th Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien (Médoc), Château Talbot’s vineyards extend over 110 hectares in a single block, within the outstanding Saint-Julien appellation.

Ideally situated on the banks of the Gironde estuary on hilltops of alluvial gravel carried by the Dordogne River from the Massif Central and from the Pyrenees by the Garonne, Château Talbot’s terroir is exceptional.

Appearance

• Color: Brick-garnet with a transparent rim, showing maturity and age gracefully.

Nose (Aroma)

• Developed bouquet with tertiary aromas leading the way:

  • Dried leaves, old leather, tobacco

  • Subtle notes of cedarwood, cigar box, and forest floor

  • Faint remnants of dried red fruits – cherry and currant

  • Slight earthy minerality and a hint of soy or mushroom

Palate

• Medium-bodied, soft, and fully integrated

• Tannins are resolved but still present, lending some structure

• Acidity remains fresh enough to keep the wine alive

• Flavors echo the nose: dried red fruits, cedar, and earthy tones

• A touch of spice and dried herbs (sage, thyme)

• Finish: Gentle, moderate in length, fading gracefully with lingering forest and leathery notes
