In 1839, Alexander Matheson searched for a perfect distillery location; Matheson's only concern was where he could make the finest whisky. He settled on an isolated area of the Cromarty Firth that is laid bare to the harsh winds of the North Sea. The Dalmore 12YO is initially matured for 9 years in American white oak before being divided. Half remains in the bourbon barrel the other placed in Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso Sherry Barrel.

Tasting Note:

Citrus fruit, chocolate
and aromatic spices on the nose. On the palate citrus, Oloroso sherry and vanilla pod are to the fore, yielding to a chocolate and roasted coffee finish.
