Domaine Fond Croze Rasteau

750 ml

DESCRIPTION

The Domaine Fond Croze Rasteau impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was placed on the bottle with only 2 grams of residual sugar. As one can of course expect with a wine, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance in all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. Thanks to its vital fruit acid, the Rasteau on the palate is exceptionally fresh and lively. The finale of this well-ripened red wine from the wine-growing region of the Northern Rhône Valley, more precisely from Rasteau, finally inspires with remarkable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and sandstone.

Grapes from the Garnacha, Mourvèdre and Syrah grape varieties form the basis for the powerful Rasteau from the Northern Rhone Valley. In the Northern Rhône Valley, the grapes produced for this wine grow on soils of limestone, sandstone, marl and brown earth. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here you are selected and gently ground. Fermentation is then carried out in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by ageing for 14 months in oak barrels.

Raster is Southern Rhone. The text mentions Northern Rhone and we all know that northern Rhône is all about Syrah. This is southern Rhone at its finest.
