An immediately charming wine, this Italian stalwart plays beautifully in Waiheke’s 2019 vintage. A rich and generous style of wine, it’s very densely fruited, much like a great Syrah, but with a rustic, meaty edge that makes you hanker for a pizza. This Obsidian Montepulciano will be a serious hit with Kiwi wine lovers.
