Roc de Cambes Cotes de Bourg 2018

Description

Soon after Francois Mitjaville purchased this vineyard in 1987, he set about to add his personality to this lesser-known appellation of Cotes de Bourg. After extensive replanting in the vineyards and modernization of the cellars, in 1998 the first vintage was debuted for Roc de Cambe.

Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon + Merlot

Terroir: The vines are set on soils made of clays and limestone in the heart of a natural hillside amphitheater, on the seafront of the Dordogne river.

Grape Growing: Grapes grown sustainably. Treatment on the vine only when required.

Winemaking: The grapes are harvested by hand and are fermented in temperature-controlled concrete tanks. Aged 18 month in 50% french oak barrel especially made for them by Radoux according to the Mitjaville signature.
