Snake Bite- Village Vineyards (Pet-Nat)

Description

Snake-Bite was the name given to our Pet-Nat during the first vintage. When Gareth tasted it he unexpectedly coined the phrase “bursting with vivacious energy” and Snake-Bite was born. The artwork depicts what one might encounter with Snake-Bite (Artist Abbey Merson). Something natural, unpredictable, delightful and intriguing. This is a living wine with a tiny winemaking footprint that sings praises to sound fruit growing.

Pét-Nat aka Pétillant Naturel is an ancient style of sparkling wine made from bottled fermenting grape juice. No additives of any sort were used, it is a pure expression of our Syrah and the vineyard microbiome. Some naturally occurring sediments remain.
