   First sniff, massive vanilla then banana peels left in the sun.
   First sip VANILLA then banana and a hint of allspice, aftertaste of sweet banana liqueur.
   Second sip, VANILLA then artificial banana taste like in candy, lollies sweets, chews. Very sweet aftertaste.
   First gulp, pot pouri vanilla, checked bottle for joss stick? Then some heat followed by gooey banana fumes.
   Second gulp, I’m vanilla out, then cloying sweetness.
   For me this is a rum to mix, lime, lemon, bitters and tonic to combat the sweetness. Not a sipping rum and over priced at NZ$90.
   Give me a bottle of Woods Navy any day.
