New Zealand’s first and only sake brewery, Zenkuro Sake is based in Queenstown. They produce a ginjo and junmai style of sake using only the finest polished sake rice and water sourced from the Southern Alps. Tasting Note:
Elegant and fine-grained, with subtle candied pineapple nose and luscious stone fruit mid-palette. Clean finish reminiscent of white flowers, with delicate rice umami on the side of the tongue. Pairing ideas: Perfect as aperitif, prosciutto and melon, foie gras pate, cheese, oysters, mushrooms, whitebait, sashimi, mutton bird. Rice polishing rate: 60%
