DESCRIPTION
Library release: A limited quantity of each vintage has been set aside for later release. It is a unique way to experience a beautifully matured Chardonnay from one of the country’s top producers. From vines dating back to 1981. White Burgundy with a kiwi twist.
Aromas of gravel, flint, grapefruit peel and citrus pith, complemented by cashew and mealy tones from an extended elevage on lees. On the palate an intense expression of Marlborough Chardonnay, from a year which yielded poorly, but delivered perfect ripeness and a strong core of citrus driven characters. The acidity is pure and offers focus and drive through the palate.
